Associate - Trading Support Analyst - Instinet - Singapore - NOMURA SINGAPORE LIMITED

Instinet's Global Trading Research group is responsible for our proprietary, global algorithmictrading platform, Instinet Experts, as well as pre-trade, real-time and post-trade analytics products
and quantitative trading research. We are looking for a highly-motivated front-line support analyst to
join our team based in Singapore. The successful applicant can expect to find themselves at the
leading edge of the equity algorithmic trading space and will be in a position to acquire in-depth
knowledge of cash equities algorithmic trading strategies and the equity trading process in Asia as
a whole.
Responsibilities:
Instinet Asia Trading Operation team is responsible for our proprietary trading platform, exchanges connectivity, clients and trade floor support, and other trading related systems.
The successful applicant is required to
- Monitor and take proactive action to provide high level of support service to our clients.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issue on highly complex trading environment.
- Manage daily production problems; ensure effective and timely resolution and communications with clients.
- Perform incident management involve business and technology communication, provide coordination and resolution of incidents.
- Perform release management be the gatekeeper for the production and UAT environments, ensure all changes are accurate and properly implementation.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure system readiness for start of day and start of week.
- In depth support of exchange connectivity, market data on direct feed or via data vendor.
- Regular weekend support for market rehearsals and system maintenance.
- Support out of regular office hours to ensure system availability.
- Liaise with developers, support teams in other regions.
Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- 1 year experience in Asian equity markets
- Highly selfmotivated, able to deep dive the root cause and provide resolution with minimum supervision.
- Practical experience in Linux /Unix.
- Proficient use of scripting languages and preferably demonstrable competence in at least one dynamic programming language, e.g. Perl or Python.
- Able to manage and interpret the Tag/Value paired protocol, e.g. FIX.
- Experience on Jira and Confluence will be beneficial.
- Exposure to version control software, e.g. subversion, GitLab.
- Experience on development to delivery Dev/Ops tools will be an added advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills and excel in high pressure trading environment.
