Facilities and Operations Manager - Singapore - ST FRANCIS METHODIST SCHOOL LTD.
Description
**Job ResponsibilitiesYou will report to the Director, Corporate and your duties will include:
- Be the person-in-charge for the school routine operations, such as assembly and crowd control of security and school property issues.
- Be involved and to lead (oversee) the inhouse maintenance personnel / contractors in daily facilities maintenance matters and to ensure contractual obligations are adhered to.
- Manage all technical budget, safety, and administration issues of the Facilities section.
- Proactive in monitoring requisite maintenance and building services that must be undertaken as well as to ensure necessary preventive and corrective maintenance works are adhered to.
- Organisation of work schedule for contractors / vendors.
- Establish, manage, monitor and review of department / section work plan, work requirements and procedures, as well as to be incharge of overall facilities resources planning and equipment for services and repair work.
- Planning and administration of section budget, maintenance contracts, overall building infrastructure and facilities planning and development, operating and maintenance.
- Monitoring and control of budget expenditure, contractors/vendors quantity and quality.
- Ensure building services and facilities are operated and maintained to comply with statutory requirements.
- Continuously seek to improve performance reliability and energy conservation of the building services and facilities.
- Management of the Health, Safety & Environmental function.
- General knowledge as well as technical knowledge of property and building services & facilities operation and maintenance, workplace safety & health.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- Degree or Diploma in Facilities / Building Management or related field
- 5 years relevant working experience preferably in a school setting, 2 of which must be at supervisory level for managerial position.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Proactive, resourceful, meticulous, able to multitask and highly organized.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
