Description
Primary responsibility is to maximize returns while minimizing risk, in accordance with the client's investment objectives and risk tolerance.

As a portfolio manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing investment portfolios for clients or institutions.

You will work closely with clients to understand their investment goals and risk tolerance and develop investment strategies to meet those objectives.

You will monitor market conditions, research investment opportunities, and make informed decisions on asset allocation and portfolio rebalancing.

Additionally, you will track portfolio performance, provide regular updates to clients, and adjust strategies as needed to maximise returns while minimising risk and maintaining compliance with Investment objectives, risk tolerance and guidelines.


Responsibilities:


  • Investment Strategy Development: Develop investment strategies based on client objectives, risk tolerance, and market conditions. This involves conducting research, analysing financial data, and identifying suitable investment opportunities.
  • Security Selection: Evaluate individual securities, such as stocks, bonds, or other financial instruments, to select those that align with the investment strategy and offer the best potential returns.
  • Portfolio Monitoring and Rebalancing: Regularly monitor portfolio performance, assessing the performance of individual securities and overall asset allocation. Make adjustments and rebalance the portfolio to maintain alignment with the investment strategy and risk parameters.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks associated with investment decisions. Implement risk management strategies, such as hedging or diversification, to minimize risk exposure.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, economic conditions, and relevant industry developments. Conduct research and analysis to identify investment opportunities or potential risks.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and internal policies. Adhere to legal and ethical standards in the investment management process.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and present performance reports to clients, detailing portfolio returns, risk metrics, and investment commentary. Provide insights and recommendations based on the analysis of portfolio performance.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay uptodate with industry trends, investment strategies, and financial innovations. Continuously enhance knowledge and skills through professional development and networking.

Requirements:


  • MAS Representative would be highly advantageous
  • Master's/Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or similar), with CFA preferred
  • Preferable at least 7 years of relevant working experience in the stock exchange (US & Asian market) or private equity investment background
  • Strong quantitative and financial modelling background with hands on experience on building tactical asset allocation models
  • Existing relationships with potential investors
  • Proven track record in portfolio/fund management and fund raising
  • Strong communication skills (English & Korean) to liaise with Koreanspeaking clients
