**Description
As a member of Coda's Finance team, you will get a behind-the-scenes look at how trading is accounted.

You will work with specialists to help manage the firm's liquidity, capital, and risk, and provide financial control to senior management.

**Responsibilities

  • Monitor the firm's trading activity; highlight and report unusual activity.
  • To be fully informed of all developments and issues in trading execution.
  • Liaise with the Operations team and vendors to generate P&L reports for the firm.
  • Prepare daily P&L reports for the trading desk, involving pricing reviews to ensure reasonable valuation of inventory, and substantial use of the firm's accounting systems.
  • Perform independent price verification on trading inventories.
  • Prepare the accounts every month for posting to the firm's general ledger.
**Key Qualifications

  • Strong character and control mindset, able to work under pressure.
  • Excellent PC skills (particularly Excel) and highly numerate.
  • Proactive and willing to take on extra responsibilities.
  • Knowledge and experience in programming, such as Python will be advantageous.
  • Possess strong interest in financial products and market awareness.

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Professional accounting qualifications such as CA, ACCA, FRM, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft tools.
  • An understanding of the front to back setup within investment banking, including systems, processes, and functions.
