Description
Roles & ResponsibilitiesRole Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Analyst to join our team in Singapore. This individual will be our first risk hire in the region and must be self-motivated, commercially oriented, and demonstrate a strong understanding of fundamental analysis, commercial acumen, and risk assessment in an ESG/finance environment. The candidate should be data-oriented with a strong aptitude for numbers.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement Stochastic Asset and Liability Management (ALM) models for solvency management and strategic asset allocations.
· Calibrate real-world and risk-neutral models (interest rates, credits, equities, etc.), generating stochastic economic scenarios for risk and valuation purposes, and provide commentary on P&L and risk movements.
· Manage the business continuity management framework and outsourcing risk management framework, taking accountability for business and regulatory compliance risks.
· Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats, and technologies to safeguard the company better.
· Highlight potential concerns/risks and proactively share best risk management practices; improve existing control processes and VaR model, and run stress tests on portfolios.
· Implement risk governance frameworks and enterprise risk management practices.
· Perform internal audits to evaluate and improve business processes.
Requirements:
· University degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Financial Engineering) with strong data handling and quantitative analysis skills.
· Familiarity with main risk drivers and valuation of various financial instruments, including derivatives using Monte Carlo and other numerical methods.
· Knowledge of ESG/financial and machine learning models is a plus.
· Proficiency in commonly used programming languages such as VBA, Python, R, and SQL.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, financial services, or risk management (hedge fund experience is a bonus).
· FRM or CFA designation is desirable.
