Reports to:
Associate Director, Clinical Services and Regulatory Affairs
Position Summary:
We are looking for a data analyst who will be pre-processing digital images, analysing, interpreting, and displaying data using different data analysis tools to transform raw data into meaningful statistics, information, and explanations.
The data will be used to assist in uncovering key insights that lead to better informed health outcomes in the area of NASH.
The data analyst will be using his/her knowledge of programming languages to design programs according to the company's software needs including data management and refining components like data storage capacities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide image postprocessing & data analysis
- Ensures that data is properly formatted and reported for compatibility with the medical platforms and networked to appropriate workstations
- Data summarization and analysis activities, including summary statistics, tabulations, graphics, analysis output, and raw data listings.
- Determines validity of images being utilized and the resultant output.
- Conduct quantitative measurements on the second harmonic generation/twophoton excitation fluorescence (SHG/TPEF) images when indicated
- Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging
- Identify and resolve any technical issues arising
- Other duties as assigned
Key skills and qualifications:
- Mathematics, computer science, medicine or biostatistics and other related majors, recruiting undergraduate or above.
- Proficient in Matlab, Python, SPSS or SAS.
- Proficient in Java, C#,.Net or Python
- Read, write and speak fluent English; excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to plan and organize work to meet deadlines
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- An understanding of the ethics of gathering and working with data
