Complementing its MRO and engineering centers of excellence in the region, Pratt & Whitney broke ground in 2013 for a new manufacturing facility at the Seletar Aerospace Park.
With construction completed in 2014, the production facility will be Pratt & Whitney's first Asian facility to manufacture components for the PurePower engines.
Responsibilities:
- Assist workshop engineers to oversee a group of technicians at Engine Dis/Assembly, Test Cell and Packaging to meet the operations key performance metrics and goals
- Engage teams by practicing effective communication, mentoring, coaching and recognition
- Lead the Production to achieve production yield and quality targets as set by the Management
- Draw up production schedules and manage manpower allocation
- Interact with various support functions such as Engineering/Quality/Customer support to resolve operational issues with regards to production, safety and quality.
- Liaise with Planning team for all correspondence with Customers on delivery, delivery forecasts and engine work scopes
- Provide leadership in test cell facility and system troubleshooting
- Liaise with local Engineering, Network teams and OEM as necessary to resolve technical issues
- Support and participate in EH&S, Quality, Ethics and Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives
- Perform various other duties as assigned by Workshop Engineer/Manager
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or any other relevant courses
- Minimum 5 years of relevant aviation experience
- Relevant experience in aircraft engine troubleshooting and test cell facility maintenance, preferably Part 145, will be advantageous
- Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess high level of integrity and accountability with a strong drive towards Quality
- Able to work on weekly rotating shifts
- Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position
