Company Description

Cogent Holdings Pte Ltd is a subsidiary of Cosco Shipping International (Singapore) Co., Ltd and has a wide range of clientele ranging from local SMEs to multinational companies. Cogent owns one of Singapore's largest one-stop integrated logistics hub, Cogent 1.Logistics Hub. It offers warehousing, freight forwarding, container and ISO tank depot, automotive logistics, and transportation services in Singapore. It also operates warehousing and container depot businesses in Malaysia.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Technician in SH Cogent Logistics Pte Ltd. The Technician will be responsible for performing equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintenance and repair tasks. The role will require hands-on work in maintaining and repairing trailers and trucks.

Perform daily maintenance, repair and all mechanical works for vehicles, equipment and machineries assigned by supervisor
Conduct scheduled routine maintenance work on Prime Movers, Trailers, equipment and machines
Able to carry out diagnostic work
Work closely with Operations Department to provide status update
Perform replacement parts requisition, consumable parts inventory and ensure consumable parts are properly recorded and tracked. Ensure all the parts taken, used, unused are accounted for
Keep logs on work and issues and update Daily Job Report
Maintain workshop cleanliness
Ensure compliance with Work Safety and Health (WSG) regulations
Assist with other ad-hoc duties

Requirement:

Higher Nitec / Nitec or related certificate in automotive or mechanical engineering
Minimum 1 year's hands-on experience with diesel and heavy vehicle/bus technology
Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Prior experience in the logistics or automotive industry is a plus
