Background


As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating projects in implementing solutions of design and build or supply and install provided to our clients.

Projects may include coordinating design of room layout, renovation works with sub-works in areas of IT infrastructure and AV connectivity.

You will be responsible for ensuring successful project execution, meeting project timelines, and coordinating activities with various stakeholders, including contractors and vendors.


Other roles will include providing technical and related support for within our sales team to secure orders as well as technical support for existing customers.


Technical Support and Troubleshooting:


  • Provide technical expertise and support during project proposal, implementation, testing, commissioning and warranty period phases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle. This may include having to work with manufacturers and contractors of related subcomponents of the project.
  • Conduct thorough system testing and ensure quality control measures are in place.

Project Coordination:


  • Coordinate and oversee project activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with contractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues or delays, and provide regular updates to the project team and management.

Room Layout Design and Optimization:


  • Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and project stakeholders to develop optimal room layouts for IT and AV infrastructure.
  • Create detailed schematics, floor plans, and wiring diagrams to guide installation and implementation processes.
  • Ensure efficient use of space while considering ergonomic factors and user experience.

IT and AV Connectivity Expertise:


  • Possess decent understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and AV connectivity systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies for integrating IT and AV systems within renovation projects.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate hardware, software, and connectivity solutions.

Documentation and Reporting:


  • Maintain accurate documentation, including project plans, technical specifications, and progress reports.
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation for future reference, system maintenance, and user training.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Diploma may be considered with experience or demonstrated competency in the role mentioned.
  • Proven experience in project engineering or a similar role.
  • Decent knowledge or experience with IT infrastructure, networking, and AV connectivity systems.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software for creating schematics and floor plans.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Problemsolving mindset with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
