- We are in search of an Instrument Package Engineer to join BW Offshore. This position is for a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension, based in our Singapore office.
- Developing and creating datasheets for various instrumentation like pressure, temperature, and level measurement devices.
- Generating technical requisitions for instrumentation packages such as pressure/level and temperature measurement instruments.
- Participating in the selection and assessment of instrument vendors to ensure adherence to project specifications and requirements.
- Overseeing the compilation and review of the Instrument Index, Explosion-Proof Equipment Register, and Material Take-off lists.
- Providing electrical input for the review of marine/process documentation and drawings.
- Reviewing marine/topside mechanical package vendor documents, including interface drawings when necessary.
- Reviewing and updating instrument, fire, and gas layout drawings based on subcontractor feedback.
- Conducting comprehensive reviews of block diagrams, layouts, cable ladder/tray schematics, MCT/Coaming, electrical room layouts, and other instrument outfitting drawings.
- A master's or bachelor's degree in engineering. Relevant experience will be considered in place of formal education.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry, with at least 3-5 years in the FPSO sector.
- Familiarity with classification society requirements and international regulations.
- A proactive team player capable of working independently.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to offer detailed explanations and ask relevant questions.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines and a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of engineering disciplines, process, utility instrumentation, and automation systems, including DCS.
- Fluency in English (both oral and written).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical and keen attention to detail.
- Proactive and independent worker with a structured and systematic approach.
- Team player comfortable in a diverse work environment.
