The key role of this position is that of a seasoned professional with several years of related experience including field, staff, support and supervisory assignments, providing leadership to a cross functional team operating the legal entities of MaK Asia Pacific with direct reports located in Singapore and Shanghai

JOB DUTIES:

Provide leadership to the team operating the legal entities.

Ensure compliant, safe and profitable operations.

Lead all aspects of services and direct distribution for all Caterpillar large medium speed engines (MSE) and products in the region for Marine Oil & Gas and land based power plants

Deliver business plan on parts and services sales.

Lead with a customer focused mindset, foster customer relationship, drive customer satisfaction improvement and business relationship enhancement.

Network the global Caterpillar- and dealer organization

SKILLS DESCRIPTORS:

Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of marine or oil and gas or electric power direct services to the industry. ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
