Responsibilities:


  • Provide technical support to achieve engineering and quality excellence.
  • Review engine workscope for FMP overhaul engines and provide applicable work instructions to the shop to ensure compliance with engineering data during the engine shop visit.
  • Support engine failure investigation and coordinate with engine OEM, airline customers and aviation authorities for engine condition documentation and reporting.
  • Analyze outofmanual conditions and provide engineering solutions in relation to engine part repair and overhaul processes.
  • Perform review of Modification Service Bulletin (SB) and provide timely information to the shop when applicable.
  • Communicate with customers on outofmanual repair approval.
  • Propose and implement creative engineering solution to improve quality, reduce engine turn time and shop visit cost.
  • Liaise with the OEM and subcontractors on engine investigation and repair processes.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement projects to bring change to the department and company.
  • Assist the Engineering Management in special projects.

Requirements:


  • Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in aerospace MRO setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Able to interpret technical data, drawings and engine manuals (SB, SPM, EM and CIR).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge in SAP, Solumina is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Versatile worker who is able to work well in a team setting and independently.
  • Ability to think and process information in the macro and micro level.
  • Highly motivated and innovative individual who is meticulous.
