Job Purpose

Report to:
Group Head of Department


Overview of Responsibilities

Media Management

  • Prepare articles and press releases for the media.
  • Ensure the company protects and promotes its image in a proper, coordinated, and consistent manner
  • Cultivate and enhance collaborative working relationships within the press and publicity community
  • Manage the flow of news about the organization to the media
  • Gather and disseminate timely information to press and staff
  • Enhance effectiveness of press and publicity function
  • Act as a media spokesperson on behalf of the company and address questions and complaints
  • Develop relationships with national and regional press contacts to ensure the company reputation is promoted and to deflect criticism
  • Plan and oversee press events
  • Detect public relations issues as they emerge and address them directly
  • Assemble press kits
  • Media update to relevant stakeholders on daily as well as consolidated weekly basis

Copywriting

  • Conceives and executes both copy and content which deliver to the input
  • Responsible for generating original concepts, concise and compelling copy, and informative and relevant content, all with grammatical and material accuracy
  • Craft marketing copy for all internal and external marketing needs, maintaining brand standards and ensuring clarity of messaging
  • Create and review all social media copy to encourage new followers, while utilizing a positive, active voice
  • Proof all outgoing marketing and communication materials for typos, incorrect grammar, and poor word choice, and ensure proper tone of voice throughout

Other Responsibilities
As Senior Executive (Marcomms), you will also be expected to:

  • Assist in other matters related to the fulfillment of the Marcomms workplan
  • Provide copywriting support to ED for matters concerning BOD or other stakeholderrelated issues

Salary:
From $2,800.00 per month
