Description

Royal Ocean Marine is currently seeking a skilled Technical Specialist to join our client's team. As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of cable systems in the maritime industry. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of cable systems and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

Designing and planning cable routes for new installations
Performing cable load calculations and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Overseeing the installation and termination of cables
Conducting tests and inspections to verify the integrity of cable systems
Identifying and troubleshooting cable faults and performance issues
Developing preventative maintenance programs for cable systems
Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective cable solutions
Providing technical expertise and support to colleagues and clients
Keeping up-to-date with advancements in cable technology and industry best practices

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cable engineering roles
Strong knowledge of cable systems and associated equipment
Proficient in cable design software and relevant engineering tools
Experience with cable installation and termination techniques
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
