Services offered
I'm a mental health counsellor volunteering with an organisation that works with single parents and children. I have experience working with diverse age groups and cultures therefore my practise is culturally informed and sensitive. I'm an educator in the early childhood sector so I have experience working with young children as well.
Experience
I believe that mental health and well-being are about connecting with our inner strengths and creating the space for growth, balance, and healing. At times, life can feel overwhelming — therapy offers a safe and supportive environment to pause, reflect, and rediscover the resilience we each carry within us. When we accept ourselves as we are — with compassion and without judgment — we create the foundation for change to unfold naturally and effortlessly.
I hold a Master’s in Guidance and Counselling from James Cook University, Australia, and have completed certifications in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Levels 1 and 2 Gottman Therapy, and Play Therapy through PESI. Both professional and personal experiences have shaped my path into counselling, reinforcing my belief in the importance of empathy, patience, and authentic connection. I recognise how transitions and relationships can influence one’s sense of identity and emotional well-being. My background in education has further strengthened my ability to approach each individual with understanding, sensitivity, and a non-judgmental perspective. In addition, I volunteer with HCSA SPIN in a counsellor’s capacity, working with children and single mothers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
In my sessions, I draw from Person-Centered Therapy, which places authenticity, acceptance, and empathy at the heart of the counselling relationship. I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop psychological flexibility, connect with their values, and create more meaningful lives. With children, I often weave in play-based techniques, allowing space for creativity, expression, and discovery. My approach is collaborative and non-judgmental — I see myself as a companion walking alongside clients as they explore challenges, deepen self-awareness, and move toward growth.
Outside of counselling, I enjoy reading extensively, baking, and exercising. Having lived and worked with individuals from different cultural settings, I bring cultural sensitivity and inclusiveness into my practice.
I speak English and Hindi, and in every session, I aim to bring warmth, curiosity, and compassion, supporting clients as they take steps toward living more authentic, resilient, and fulfilling lives.
Education
I hold a Master in Guidance and counselling from James Cook University Singapore. I've completed levels 1 and 2 in Gottman Couples Therapy and certifications in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Play Therapy through Psychwire and PESI Australia.
