Andrea Deibler

My name is Andrea Ning Deibler. I am an experienced database developer. I have education in Information technology, expertise in database and data warehouse design and development, as well as business intelligence report. In my previous job, I had worked as a computer technical sales and gained valuable consulting experience to serve customers. I had provided supports to retail stores, corporations, schools and local governments, helped them to achieve business goals. I also worked as a system and senior program analyst at U.S. private sectors and worked with various stakeholders, to facilitate meetings, gather requirements, translate business requirements into technique specifications, and provided technology solutions. I had designed, developed and maintained database and data warehouse business applications and generated ad hoc and business intelligence reports for company stakeholders. I have advanced skills in T-SQL programming and be able to write complex queries and apply query optimization methods, as well as write stored procedures. In the last several years, I had taught computer science courses at a Chinese university and a vocational school. Recently I had worked as a computer science teacher at a K-12 school in Cambodia. 

I am hard working, resourceful, flexible and adoptable. I can work independently and work within a team. I am a fast learner, willing and eager to learn more to achieve professional excellence and personal growth. 

I am an IT professional. During my work as a system analyst and senior program analyst at U.S. private sectors, I have gained expertise in database and data warehouse design and development. 

I am passionate to work with data, analyze data and generate useful information and insights for company management or stakeholders. I had done some database and data warehouse business application projects. From gather system and user requirements, to write software requirement specification (SRS), then translate into software design specifications (SDS), from the preliminary database design to detailed design, and database coding, implementation, testing and deployment, and user training as well as database maintenance. During database design and development, I have practiced software engineering best practice, and applied software development methodologies (SDLC).  I have advanced T-SQL programming skills, and excellent knowledge and experience in Database design and development, ETL and reports. From the database logical design to normalize database, to database physical design, and write T-SQL code for creating tables, select indexes, write queries and stored procedures, as well as generate reports. I am proficient in SQL server SSIS, SSAS and SSRS. Currently, I have been learning NoSQL. 

During my teaching at university and vocational school, I had gained knowledge and experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP for web development. I have done research and learned new functions online, lectured students in classrooms and led students practiced to design web pages in computer lab. 

I am proficient in software design and development. I can work independently or in a team. Through my academic study, self-learning, research and teaching, I have developed skills in C++, Python Turtle, ASP.NET, Power BI, Tableau, XML, JSON, WordPress, as well as Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access),

During my graduate school years at Drexel university, I had taken database and data warehouse courses for several semesters and enjoyed learning them and had done a few graduate database and data warehouse projects. Luckily, one of my database and data warehouse teachers is one of the top experts in the database field. I had learned database and data warehouse well from Dr. Song II-Yeol. 

To me, continue education in computer science and self-improvement are important. In the last many years, I have continuously working on my IT skills through learning online, researching and practicing.
