As a strong team player, i enjoy working and communicating with others, whether it is at school or at work. Despite it being a cliche, i truly believe that teamwork makes the dream work.

Throughout school or at my internship, i always loved to work with others. I am someone that finds pleasure in gathering ideas and opinions from others, so that i could have better insights, and not restricted to just my own. Having had an 8 month plus internship stint at Croda, it made me even more appreciative of the benefits of teamwork, as i had great supervisors and colleagues to work with, and also had the experience of observing the various departments working together with mine. After my internship, i learnt that i am a marketing and advertisments enthusiast, especially when it came to consumer insights. Having a pair of parents that were both business owners, i also developed a inclination towards having the desire to starting one of my own in the near future.

When i am not studying, i enjoy searching up the internet to find out about the latest cosmetic trends, as it has been a great interest of mine since i was 15. Also, i spend most of my free time discovering new cosmetic products, learning about the new formulation technologies, and also researching on ingredients that i am unfamiliar with.

During my internship, my tasks mainly revolved researching about consumer insights, in particular, cosmetics. My main tasks were to create forms on Compusense and conducting sensorial tests for both internal and external panelists so as to later conduct statistical tests for the various ingredients the company offers. I was also trained professionally in sensorial language and also learnt the skills needed for a sensory panelist. On top of that, i was given a great opportunity to conduct a consumer study/research with an institution alongside my supervisor, and was in charge of logistics, trainings and guidance of the students that were involved in it.

Throughout this course, i have discovered countless different aspects of a business, from financing, to the importance of communication and many more. In particular, i truly enjoyed my anthropology and psychology modules, which sparked the desire to also looking towards furthering my studies and learning more about consumer psychology as well as exploring various areas of the marketing field.
