Hin Jun Xiong

As a fresh graduate of University of Malaya, I am eager to acquire new skills, expand my knowledge and excel in the biology and pharmaceutical industry. I am currently seeking a fresh graduate position in the pharmaceutical, medical laboratory and food sectors, starting in March 2023.

I have conducted my internship as a medical laboratory technologist in BP Diagnostic Centre Sdn Bhd which is a subsidiary company of BP Healthcare Group. In my internship, I conducted phlebotomy procedures on foreign workers to extract blood samples. Then, I provided excellent customer service by promoting health screening packages and interpreting medical reports to the customers. Furthermore, I also operated basic medical equipment such as Body Composition Analysis, Bone Mineral Density, Audiometry, and Lung Function Test. Moreover, I also carried out urinalysis and blood centrifugation as well as handling and packaging blood and urine samples under the guidelines set by the company. The achievement in my internship was contributing to the manager's success in hitting the sales target by selling 15x H2T health screening packages worth RM16K.

Besides that, I also do a part-time job as a retail sales assistant in F.O.S Apparel Group Sdn Bhd during the break after STPM. I managed to improve my sales and soft skills like communication skills when I dealt with customers. My tasks in the store include managing the stocks by regularly conducting stock checks and restocking as necessary, maintaining a clean and organized appearance of the store as well as processing customer transactions.

I have just completed my degree with first-class honour (CGPA:3.96) in the University of Malaya. The programme which I enrolled in is Bachelor of Science in Biohealth. I have taken the course like pharmacology, immunology, genetics, microbiology, histopathology, biochemistry, histology and cancer biology in my degree. In addition, I also equipped myself with laboratory skills like cell cultures and others which make me fit the job.

Before my degree, I took STPM in SMK Sultan Ibrahim and successfully achieved CGPA 4.0. The subjects which I studied include General Studies, Math T, Biology and Chemistry.
