Ling Hui Xuan

My Name is Hui Xuan and I am a penultimate year Economics major specializing in Quantitative and Financial Economics in National University of Singapore. Coming from an Economics background, I believe I will be able to derive and deduct meaningful conclusions regarding the volatile state of the economic climate while also analysing in both the qualitative and the quantitative (through VBA programming) aspect. I believe this will be of utmost importance when conducting any analysis. I also have a deep passion for writing which is why I made it a point to take up multiple writing modules to constantly maintain and improve my writing skills. I believe both these quantitative and qualitative qualities combined would make me a good fit for analytical roles that also requires excellent written and verbal skills. 

I have been a Customer Service Officer at United Overseas Bank as well as a Financial Advisor with PFPFA.  I am well-versed with banking products and insurance products, hence I will be able to grasp concepts involving private banking products quickly.

I have also been part of 3 different school clubs over the span of 2 years thus I am very comfortable speaking with or negotiating with stakeholders considering that I was required to speak to sponsors and potential guest-of-honors regularly in our student-initiated events. I also have experience managing finances given that I was a Treasurer and a founding member in the Women in Business Club in NUS. I had the pleasure of leading my own team through various projects, making me very comfortable to work in a team setting as they require constant collaborations.
