Russel Lillian Foronda

I have 4 years experience in the healthcare industry as a Registered Pharmacist in the Philippines, and this gained me a huge development in my career to help me work in a diversity of areas.  My philosophy to step higher and dream bigger has brought me to aspire and explore new beginnings in a different environment, culture and work experience. 

I am a collaborative team player, self motivated and hard working person, with these qualities, I may be able to impart positive impact to your team. 

I worked as a Pharmacy Technician in an insurance company that is US based for 6 months, my primary job was to interview patients to assess their medication needs and nurse managers for prior authorization approval. But most of my work experience was at a hospital settings as a Clinical Pharmacist in St. Luke's Medical Center, my responsibilities includes using Electronic Medication Record system which allows us to access patient information such as medical and treatment history to check for the appropriateness of every medication prescribed to patient. This also allowed us to review for drug-drug and drug-food interaction among the list of medications. Referrals to prescribers are done for any discrepancies we find on the prescription. I was also assigned on the outpatient cancer unit , where my primary duty is to double check dose of the chemo drugs, interview patient history and provide home instructions to patients. In between I have also been working as a dispensing Pharmacist in a remote pharmacy every Friday wherein I dispense medication and also provide drug information on proper intake of the drug to patients. 

I finished my 4 year course at Centro Escolar University and gained my college degree as a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
