I believe in the transformative power of horticultural spaces and the benefits that they offer to individuals and communities. My current interest lies in transforming landscapes into edible works of art through regenerative practices. I currently spend a large part of my time educating others on growing food through sustainable ways, as well as composting. I am also involved in garden builds at hotels and schools.
Having been involved in Singapore Polytechnic's school outreach as a lecturer, and later as part of an agency developing their outreach marketing campaign, I am equipped to assist in promoting public outreach programmes and developing educational resources for learning.
I work collaboratively with various stakeholders and the public in my roles as lecturer and project manager.
With a certification in Therapeutic Horticulture as well as Health Coaching, I'm keen on contributing my skills towards the well-being of the community.
Experience
April 2022 - Present, Edible Garden City, Urban Farm Educator. Educating and encouraging the public to grow their own food in their own spaces. Clients include corporates, primary schools and secondary schools.
April 2022 - Present, Volunteer at community gardens & citizen farms. Help build various urban farms and gardens. Share about composting at workshops at educational institutions such as NUS.
April 2021 - Present, Freelance Copywriter. Craft and edit copy for annual and corporate reports, EDMs and editorials for clients such as Economic Development Board, CAAS and Prime Minister’s Office.
May 2016 - April 2021, Singapore Sports Hub, Creative Manager. Manage branding projects, and campaigns to promote traffic to the venue, creative resources, and external vendors. Provide copywriting services for various platforms.
