To Whom It May Concern:

I embarked on a career teaching English in 2012 when I took my first job in a small language school in Spain. Since then, I have been lucky enough to secure jobs in numerous countries around the world. I have taught in a range of different environments from bespoke education to elite private schools. This diversity has made my teaching style well-versed, flexible and creative. 

Thus far, I have had wonderful experiences teaching different methods whilst learning about new cultures and engaging with inspiring students. It has been a dynamic experience which I hope to continue in Singapore. 

I have been involved in creating a number of exciting new projects with and for the schools where I have worked. In Brazil, I created an intensive curriculum for all subjects in English. Individually, I created syllabi for special events and classes, such as: discovery time, exploring the city, ‘let’s make it’ classes and themed celebration days which centred around specific topics. In another role, I created a programme that provided English lessons to assistant Portuguese-speaking teachers. 

After arriving in London, I was lucky to secure a job in alternative education. I teach English to students from numerous different countries who have various levels. I also help children and young adults who are native speakers of English but struggle in their attainment for various reasons such as disabilities or lack of access to education. 

Regardless of who I teach, I continually look for new ways to interact with and teach my students. I also look to and learn from my co-workers for advice and tips to further develop. I am a hardworking and motivated person. I am also fun loving and easy going. I know the importance of creating a safe, friendly and comfortable space for students to learn. I believe learning has a lot to do with having confidence and getting over feeling intimidated when making mistakes. I encourage the learning process through dynamic interaction between myself and the students and the students amongst themselves.
