- Take charge and coordinate all Sales-related requests concerning applications, innovation, technical inquiries, technical visits, troubleshooting, and customer complaints pertinent to product performance.
- Collaborate with Sales to pinpoint market needs and execute new business opportunities and application projects. Serve as the technical lead on market trends, insights, innovation, and application ideation.
- Assist in designing experiments for new product development of emulsifiers and specialty fats for confectionery products like chocolates, fillings, bakery fats, and coatings. Collaborate with customers to develop new products and applications.
- Arrange in-house customer trials, product innovation sessions, and technical workshops for the sales team, distributors, and customers as needed.
- Establish and maintain an updated database on raw materials, processing equipment, application know-how, sensory evaluations, and other related services.
- Build and cultivate a high-performing, technically trained team and resources to meet future demands.
- Maintain workplace safety, cleanliness, and the condition of pilot plant equipment.
- Provide monthly reports on application lab activities, including the number of projects and innovations, application trials, customer technical visits, and samples sent out to customers.
- Establish annual KPIs, develop the budget, and assess direct report performance and training needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related field.
- 7 to 15 years of proven experience in oil & fats or related food ingredients applications.
- Possess experience in confectionery, bakery, dairy & frozen desserts, oils & fats applications.
- Proficient in laboratory work and knowledgeable in handling laboratory equipment.
- Capable of driving projects and demonstrating good business acumen.
- Ability to present confidently to customers.
