Make an Impact by:

Supervise technicians and contractors to execute all access fiber cable work as well as transmission/access equipment (SDH, PDH, GPON, MD, MSAN, IAD, CE) installation, commission, provision and maintenance work in the area under his control in accordance with established operation procedures and engineering instructions.
Take charge of maintenance of access/junction fiber cables and attend to emergency cable breakdown/ system outage during and after office hours.
Responsible for clearing of all the access/junction fiber cable faults and transmission/access equipment faults under his charge in accordance to KPI targets.
Ensure the technicians and contractors follow safety procedure in accordance to the work health and safety act (WSH) and to use appropriate safety equipment so as to complete their assigned job efficiently.
Perform order management using NGNIS system for fiber based products eg. MetroE, Gigawave, ISDN.
Take ownership and manage staff on fiber patching and testing works for the provision of fiber based products.
Able to perform standby duties and silent hour recall. Work on irregular hours, such as at night and on public holidays and weekends, at very short notice when such need arises.
Compile statistical reports on equipment/access fiber network performance.
Any other duties assigned by Manager.
