Roles & Responsibilities

Job Title : Assistant Manager, Integration & Scholar Engagement

Job Type : Permanent/Contract

Job Location : Nanyang Avenue

Job Responsibilities:

· Engagement and professional development of international scholars to empower their successful transition and integration into university and Singapore.

· Student support and case management

o Work with Student Care Managers and other administrative departments, to identify and provide relevant support services for international scholars, both academic and non-academic.

o Plan and implement programmes for students, to help them better integrate academically and socially.

· Plan and implement programmes and initiatives that inculcate the importance of diversity and integration.

· Support the development and implementation of policies and practices which enhance integration within university.

· Collaborate with and provide advice to student leaders as well as faculty and staff, to educate and raise awareness on integrative practices.

· Preparation of reports for submission to regulators and senior management.

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in any related field from a recognised University.

· Good working knowledge on the transition and integration of international students in higher education.

· At least 3 - 5 years of relevant experience which involves considerable interaction with students or youth. Some experience in organizing events and experience in the tertiary education sector will be advantageous.

· Strong drive to initiate, plan, implement and deliver integration initiatives on time and on target.

· Possess critical and lateral thinking skills.

· Good communication, negotiation and influencing skills (written and verbal).

· Ability to work collaboratively with university students and colleagues from diverse cultures and disciplines.

· Passionate in nurturing young people and challenging them to achieve their desired career goals.
