    Office of Student Life aims to provide a vibrant and holistic Student Life experience that empowers students to develop their potential and capabilities to serve societal needs.

    This role will support the planning, facilitation, and administration of student activities and events. He/She will work closely with students, staff, and external partners to ensure a positive and enriching student experience.

    What You Will Do

    1.Staff Advisor to Student Organizations

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned student organizations, fostering strong working relationships with student leaders.
    • Guide student leaders on constitutional matters, elections, succession planning, good governance, and compliance with university procedures and financial guidelines.
    • Advise on event planning, budgeting, venue bookings, logistics, instructor/coach engagement, and risk management to ensure activities align with university policies and safety standards.
    • Review and endorse event and activity proposals, financial documents, and related submissions.
    • Support onboarding, training, workshops, briefings, and consultations to build leadership capability and confidence among new office bearers.

    2.Student Development

    • Mentor student leaders on leadership skills, organizational management, team dynamics, conflict resolution, governance, and financial procedures.
    • Support student organizations in planning and executing activities, events, and competitions, ensuring optimal use of resources.
    • Foster strong affiliation, school spirit, and student engagement through participation in programs and initiatives.

    3.Event & Program Management

    • Oversee or support the organization of local and international tertiary events, student-led initiatives, leadership programs, and campus-wide activities.
    • Provide logistical and administrative support, including venue arrangements, issuance and tracking of event logistics, and coordination with internal units and external partners.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of department-wide and university-level events to ensure smooth and safe operations.

    4.Risk, Safety & Compliance

    • Ensure all student activities adhere to established risk management practices, safety guidelines, and university policies.
    • Facilitate the maintenance and housekeeping of student spaces in collaboration with student leaders and relevant stakeholders.
    • Ensure student organizations comply with governance, audit, PDPA, and financial requirements (including verification of student claims and invoices), and maintain accurate documentation for institutional reviews.
    • Track activity timelines, fund utilization, fixed assets, and inventory, where required.

    5.Data & Administrative Support

    • Collate, manage, and analyze data in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
    • Maintain accurate records of student co-curricular (Fifth Row) submissions and update them in relevant systems.
    • Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth operations of the Office of Student Life.
    • Perform other duties as required to support departmental goals and university objectives.

    Who We Are Looking For

    • At least a Bachelor's degree.
    • Someone with strong organizational, coordination, and administrative skills.
    • Ability to respond quickly, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Self-motivated, resourceful, and effective in problem-solving.
    • Versatile and able to work well under pressure.
    • Willing to work outside regular office hours when required (e.g., events and student activities).
    • Basic financial knowledge to guide student organizations on budgeting and financial procedures.
    • Genuine passion for working with students and supporting student activities.
