    Roles & Responsibilities

    About the role

    The incumbent shall be reporting to the Snr Manager, Global Planning and Purchasing, assist in strategic development of planning team to maximise value for money and achieve legislation compliance through the support and development of best practice for the group of businesses.

    He/She shall be assisting in End-to-End Materials and Finished Goods Planning in executing and enforcing on-going Planning Strategies and policies. The person shall assist and executing development of new policies in the planning process to create greater competition and align the business growth strategies.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Assist the Snr Manager, Global Planning and Purchasing in driving continuous improvement, best value and quality improvements within the team and departments in challenging existing practices and actively seek ways to achieve better outcomes, contributing to ensure key performance and financial targets are met and corrective action taken where necessary.
    • To leverage resources across all boundaries to support business goals, bringing all expertise necessary to address the institutions challenges to safeguard against contractual and commercial risk.
    • Assist in reports to the Management and respective committees as may be required from time to time to provide up to date status reports on procurement to include development, demonstrate value for money and compliance to regulatory procurement requirements, including Anti Bribery and Corruption and Fraud.
    • Assist in executing and enforcing excellent and effective collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and external providers and other agencies to ensure strategic and operational needs are fully understood and incorporated. Implementation of appropriate Frameworks.
    • To lead and motivate Planners and ensure that they receive appropriate support, training, and development to achieve their potential.
    • Promote importance of procurement across for the group and best practice through continuous improvement
    • Act as the principal conduit for formal communications with external companies during the planning process.
    • To work within the relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
    • To participate in the Annual Performance Development Review Process.
    • Any other ad-hoc tasks by Immediate superior.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a senior / planner, or a planning manager with demonstrated success in a management capacity.
    • Work experience in similar position within manufacturing and FMCG environment
    • Experienced in APO, SAP planning processes preferred.
    • Extensive expertise, having operated at a strategic level with a strong track record of success in delivering financial savings.

    Specific Requirements

    • Able to manage a multitude of projects and/ or vendors simultaneously
    • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
    • Experience of developing and managing planning staff.
    • High level of ownership to drive results.
    • Good level networking and liaison skills and the provide ability to meet deadlines and targets.
    • Good teamwork skills actively involve colleagues across the business, builds the benefits of collaborative working.
    • Self-driven and constantly looking out for improvements.
