- Manage all online contents and deliverables to ensure that they are published on a timely and high-quality basis;
- Initiate and execute ideas to enhance overall online contents and deliverables;
- Write regularly short opinion editorial articles on relevant and current topics for the website;
- Develop a strong online presence and work closely with social media team to develop strong social media presence;
- Edit and proofread all our written research, editorial and social media contents for dissemination through our online and social media channels, to ensure grammatical correctness and factual accuracy.
- Ability to conduct and publish interviews from a wide source of industry practitioners;
- Apply high sub editing and journalistic standards in the execution of your works;
- Able to source for quotes, pictures and write/rewrite news snippets;
- Ability to write mainly feature articles and moderates panel sessions.
- Manage the content of the Company's online and social media platforms effectively for clients of the Company;
- Initiate, organize, execute and deliver editorial assignments accurately and professionally in a timely manner;
- Determine the best way to tell a story on the channels and platforms in your care – List, infographic, videos, slideshow, voice files, long form or short form editorial content;
- Accuracy and timeliness in the execution of your assignments are fundamental to your success.
- Possess at least a tertiary qualification in relevant field;
- At least 5 years of relevant experience;
- Strong business or banking, consulting, research or writing background;
- Strong command of the English language;
- Sub-editing experience, preferably with websites or online publications;
- Be comfortable with the use of CMS such as Wordpress, Joomla, or ModX;
- Have consistently been in journalism, writing for trade publication, wire services and even media agencies.
- Knowledge of Social Media tools is a plus, but not critical.
- Candidates with less than 5 years of experience may be considered for Sub-Editors.
