We are seeking a well qualified candidate to join the Finance team as an Accountant.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Perform General Ledger functions for several legal entities in the region.
Post / Review journal entries with accurate accounts coding, description, and other details
Ensure disbursements are processed timely and accurately.
Work closely with country heads to monitor and mitigate risks.
Work closely with intercompany partners on intercompany reconciliations
Responsible for month-end closing and cash management.
Deliver accurate and timely financial reports.
Re-design existing work processes especially in areas of AP, AR, GL, and Interco.
Assist in-country compliance with government regulations including external audits and tax returns.
Other ad-hoc assignment(s)

Requirements and Skills

Degree in Accounting (or equivalent)
Strong in month-end close processes and internal controls
Knowledge of VAT/GST and withholding tax preferred
Knowledge of Synergix/Cognos preferred.
Attention to detail and possess an eye for details.
Maintain strict confidentiality in performing the required duties.
Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.
