    Description
    [What the role is]

    We are looking for resourceful and service-oriented individual to join the Operations & Facilities Management Department which oversees the operation and maintenance of Government cemeteries, crematoria and columbaria. You will be stationed at a crematorium at Mandai and will play a key role in providing after-death care services.

    [What you will be working on]

    • Supervise a team of Officers in ensuring the cremation ceremony and process are carried out smoothly and efficiently
    • Supervise a team of Assistant Executives to carry out their cremation duties at service halls smoothly
    • Manage enquiries and provide assistance to the public to ensure that sufficient support and assistance are provided to help them go through the cremation service and ash collection process effectively
    • Plan and coordinate daily operations and maintenance (preventive and breakdown) of the cremators
    • Administration of the cremator term contract, including seeking approval, raising Purchase Orders/Works Orders, carrying out inspections and verification of work done
    • Perform administration work such as duty roster preparation, attendance record keeping, etc.
    • Monitor the consumption of gas/electricity by the cremators
    • Assist supervisor to carry out periodic review of work procedures and conduct briefings to staff on revised procedures
    • Assist with Officers' duties including the ash collection work when necessary
    • Operate the coffin trolley to transport caskets to designated area before and after cremation ceremonies when necessary
    • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, e.g. familiar with functions in Excel and able to prepare creative presentations
    • Able to handle adverse situations and difficult customers
    • Able to lead, interact and foster teamwork
    • Good problem-solving, writing & communication skills
    • Have initiative and able to carry out plans effectively
    • Meticulous and pay attention to the finer details
    • Mature, independent, responsible and resourceful
    • Good organisational and administrative skills
    • Willing to work in after-death care service environment
    • Able and willing to work on weekends and public holidays
