Roles & Responsibilities

We are helping our client, a global engineering and technology group, find a Deputy Department Manager (IIT) to provide essential support to the department manager, ensuring seamless operations and goal achievement.

Responsibilities:

Supporting the department manager by offering guidance and direction to staff, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring task completion adheres to policies
Assisting in overseeing daily department operations, managing task allocation among team members for optimal performance
Collaborating with the department manager on budgeting activities, monitoring expenses, and ensuring compliance with financial constraints
Identifying training needs, facilitating programs for staff development, and supporting professional growth opportunities
Addressing challenges within the department, working with the manager to implement effective solutions
Contributing to process improvements, innovation, and efficiency enhancements within the department

Requirements:

Degree in Computer / Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of IT service management (ITSM), including frameworks like ITIL, incident and problem management, change management, and service desk operations
Solid understanding of IT concepts, systems, architectures, infrastructure, networking, and security
Proven experience in managing IT projects from inception to closure, including scope definition, resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management
Strong understanding of contract negotiation, administration, compliance, and maintaining service level agreements
Expertise in customer satisfaction analysis, feedback evaluation, and service reviews for enhancing customer experience
Driving service improvement initiatives and fostering a customer-centric culture within the department
Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
