Description

Leading sales projects, including contract negotiations for the technical product part, in close coordination with the responsible Corporate Sales Organization and taking into account the segment's targets.


  • Independently managing sales projects for specific products as well as acquire new customers for these products and develop customer loyalty.
  • Taking accountability for and preparing proposals (complex), quotations, business planning and risk assessment for sales projects for all service components (especially Engine Maintenance Services) in the segment's product portfolio.
  • Preparing for risk analyses as part of segment risk management, present and evaluate risk profile. Support internal approval process and coordinate content with Controlling as well as Legal and Finance, present sales project to Executive Board if necessary.
  • Drafting contracts in accordance with the requirements of the business unit and negotiate with the customer based on a negotiating mandate from the segment together with the Corporate Sales Organization or independently for specific products and coordinate with internal interfaces.
  • Developing and coordinating customer specific solutions and sales strategies (products and services) based on customer feedback and target customer analyzes.
  • Collecting and analyzing competition information (requirements, customer planning, wishes, satisfaction, observe and analyze competitors), derive and implement measures.
  • Advising segment management and department management on alternative courses of action as well as risks within the sales process, give recommendations and bring about decisions.
  • Taking accountability for the transition from the acquisition phase to contract fulfillment. Ensure coordination with the relevant interfaces and mapping of the negotiated contract contents in the systems for contract fulfillment.
  • Attending customer visits independently and together with Corporate Sales, represent Lufthansa Technik at trade shows as Sales Manager representative of the segment.
  • All other duties as assigned or required

Your Profile:


  • University degree, preferably in Engineering, Business or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience within sales respectively at customer interface preferably in the field of aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO)
  • Excellent spoken and written business English
  • Knowledge of an Asian language or German is advantageous
  • High degree of intercultural competency and strong understanding of Asian cultures
  • Excellent customer service skills with customeroriented attitude, and a strong ability to build close relationships with customers
  • Like working with people, solving problems, and developing yourself by being challenged in your daytoday work
  • Ability and selfdriven motivation to adapt and solve complex challenges and new ways of business
  • Possess a strong character with the distinction to develop and drive business and customer relationships forwards
  • Ability to represent Lufthansa Technik in a consistent and professional way
  • Able to travel to Germany and extensively within Asia
