Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Desktop Support: Provide technical support for desktop hardware, software, and peripherals, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
System Administration: Administer desktop operating systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Software Deployment: Manage software deployment and updates using automated deployment tools.
Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect desktop systems from viruses, malware, and unauthorized access.
User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for desktop configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Hardware Procurement: Coordinate the procurement and deployment of desktop hardware and peripherals.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records for desktop hardware and software assets.
Training and Education: Provide training and education to end-users on desktop technologies and best practices.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration of desktop systems with other IT infrastructure components.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in desktop support or system administration.
Proficiency in desktop operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS) and productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or equivalent are a plus.
