Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Desktop Engineer with expertise in Windows 10 and 11 operating systems.

Mandatory Skill-set

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering;
At least 5 years of experience as a Desktop Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Windows 10 and 11 operating systems;
Strong knowledge of desktop hardware components, peripherals, and their configuration;
Experience as a System administrator, provide support ,troubleshoot and maintain computer servers and networks;
Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to desktop computing;
Familiarity with software deployment tools and methodologies;
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and system security configurations;
Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users;
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Desired Skill-set

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator;
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and administration;
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Windows 10 and 11 operating systems on desktop computers, laptops, and other end-user devices;
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues related to desktop computing, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to end users;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy software applications, updates, and patches across the desktop environment;
Implement and manage security measures, including antivirus software, firewalls, and encryption, to safeguard against potential threats and vulnerabilities;
Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring efficient utilization of hardware resources and responsiveness of user applications;
Provide technical support and guidance to end users, addressing inquiries, resolving problems, and offering training as needed;
Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures;
Participate in IT projects related to desktop infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives;
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to desktop engineering and Windows operating systems.
