We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing our investment and research data solutions and strategies. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data management, analysis, and visualization to bridge the gap between business needs and actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business stakeholders (research analysts, quantitative strategists, end-users) to understand their requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
Participate in requirement workshops, analyze needs holistically, and influence the design of data solutions for optimal business and operational impact.
Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the quality and user-friendliness of data solutions.
Continuously improve data operations by streamlining processes, analyzing operational data (SLAs, user satisfaction), and implementing efficiency measures.
Monitor data quality, identify and address issues, and design metrics to maintain the integrity of our datasets.
Manage and foster strong relationships with data providers to secure ongoing support and knowledge for current and future data needs.
Investigate and resolve data-related incidents, providing insightful advice to users.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized university (or equivalent experience).
3 to 8 years of experience in data management, analysis, user/business requirements analysis, data visualization, and preferably within the investment and banking industry.
Strong understanding of data management principles, key controls, processes, data modeling, and data integration.
Meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to operational excellence.
Proven experience with business intelligence/data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.
Familiarity with data warehouse concepts, data models, data management tools (SQL, Python, R), and data extraction techniques.
Working knowledge of using formulas/macros in Excel is a plus.
Background in economics/finance related courses is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Agile, fast learner, and adaptable to a dynamic environment.
Team player with exceptional analytical skills and a passion for complex problem-solving.
Experience with SDLC methodologies (e.g., Waterfall) and/or Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.
