- Build and execute our BD strategy across the EU with a focus on financial institutions, platforms and enterprise clients.
- Maintain a high-quality pipeline across identified target verticals, focusing on high-impact deals, and think through supporting business development strategies.
- Own the full sales cycle for closing new partners – from sourcing and qualification to leading the definition of the solution for the partner and negotiating the commercials, all the way through to go-live.
- Pitch our API-first platform, solving real cross-border pain points.
- Lead commercial and legal negotiations with C-level execs.
- Work to improve our go-to-market approach, refining messaging, pricing strategy, and pitch materials based on feedback from partners and insights about competitors.
- Collaborate internally, sharing feedback and insights from the EU market to product teams and senior management to inform roadmap and investment decisions.
- Continuously refine our go-to-market playbook based on what works.
- Be the voice of the EU market internally – and help drive what comes next.
- Track record in BD, partnerships, or enterprise sales in fintech or financial services:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in closing complex, high-value deals with financial institutions or regulated entities
- Fluency in the world of payments, FX, embedded finance, or APIs.
- Strategic thinker, hands-on doer, data-driven operator.
- Able to speak the language of product, compliance, and commercial teams.
- Educated with a relevant degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Customer-focused, you can't imagine working in any other way, and it's the only way to achieve our goals.
- Equally at home in both strategic planning and hands-on execution, ideally with experience in start-up/scale-up as well as larger organisations.
- Ability to drill down, persistent and never-give-up spirit.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute high-impact business development strategies.
- Strong consultative sales approach and experience negotiating with enterprise C-level executives.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills – able to influence internal and external stakeholders

Now, we're scaling and looking for a BD Director to own the strategy, pipeline, and partnerships that will power our next phase of growth.

WHAT'S THE CHALLENGE?
You will take ownership for growing our customers and revenue in the EU region. You'll land high-impact deals with banks, fintechs, platforms and enterprises. You've got the commercial sharpness to close complex deals.
WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH
This position will report directly to the Global CEO - International Business.
You'll partner closely with our local Compliance, Product, Marketing and operations teams to build a cohesive user journey that delivers the right product to the right users, at the right time. You'll also collaborate with colleagues across the US, EU, UK, and other regions, as well as with Group HQ teams.
