The Deputy / Assistant Vice President (D/AVP) of Transformation Office, reporting to the VP of the Transformation Office under the Growth and Transformation Division, plays a pivotal leadership role in driving transformative initiatives. He/she will lead the Business Tech Transformation Team's efforts within the Performance and People Pillars, collaborating closely with key stakeholders such as Digital & Data, Sales & Marketing, Assets Management, Retail, Food & Beverage, HR, and IT teams. He/she will champion and work closing with the strategy and guest engagement management (GEM) team to foster innovation through design thinking methodologies and oversees a team of professionals, ensuring the successful execution and scaling of innovation projects. He/she will also serve as the secretariat to the Transformation Project and Steering Committee, ensuring seamless communication and documentation throughout the transformation initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
·Lead and oversee transformation projects under the Performance and People Pillars aimed at identifying new opportunities, enhancing processes, and driving transformative changes across the organisation. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution from conception to implementation.
·Forge robust relationships with key stakeholders, understanding business needs and communicating transformational objectives effectively.
·Lead the Business Analysts team in gathering user requirements and driving development activities, aligning them with organisational goals.
·Explore opportunities for collaboration with external partners, startups, and academia to leverage open innovation practices. Foster an environment that encourages external input and creative problem-solving to address challenges and seize new possibilities.
·Engage with various business units and departments to apply design thinking principles in problem-solving, product development, and process improvement. Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to promote innovative ideas.
·Build, lead, and mentor a team of professionals responsible for executing innovation projects. Provide guidance, set performance objectives, conduct regular evaluations, and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
·Act as the secretariat to the Transformation Project and Steering Committee, ensuring timely and efficient communication, facilitating committee meetings, documentation, and follow-up on action items.
·Align innovation initiatives with the organisation's strategic goals and objectives. Collaborate with the VP of the Transformation Office to develop long-term transformation and innovation roadmaps that support business growth and competitiveness.
·Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for transformational projects, aligning them with corporate KPIs, and providing regular reports on achievements.
Job Requirements
·A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Innovation Management, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree (Master's or MBA) is preferred but not mandatory.
·At least 8-10 years of experience in transformation, innovation management, project leadership, and business development. Proven track record of successfully leading transformation projects in a corporate environment especially in driving guest experience, e-commerce, revenue systems, and projects relating to productivity and efficiency improvements.
·Strong expertise in design thinking methodologies and experience in applying them to drive innovative solutions and user-centric designs. Experienced in designing customer experience projects.
·Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive transformative change within an organisation.
·Possess a strategic mindset with the ability to align innovation initiatives with the organisation's long-term goals and market trends.
·Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, executives, and external partners.
·Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address business challenges and opportunities.
·Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
·Certification in Design Thinking or related field.
·Proficiency in Lean methodologies.
·Previous experience in overseeing project secretariate duties.
