Roles & Responsibilities

Our client is a global MNC in the Chemicals sector with its regional headquarters in Singapore.

They are seeking a dedicated individual to lead the country finance team in Singapore. This role will oversee all aspects of financial operations, compliance, budgeting, process improvements, internal controls, and financial analyses for Singapore.

Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, you will lead a small team and be responsible for:

1. Financial Operations Leadership: Lead a team responsible for the full spectrum of Finance & Accounting duties for Singapore entities, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and accurate group reporting.

2. Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements by working closely with auditors and ensuring timely submission of reports for both group and statutory compliance.

3. Annual Budgeting: Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop the annual Budget Plan, providing comprehensive analysis to support effective decision-making.

4. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline processes for increased efficiency, working collaboratively with shared services to implement improvements.

5. Internal Controls and Systems Oversight: Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard data integrity, ensuring accurate financial records to meet corporate and regulatory standards.

6. Financial Analyses: Analyze regional financial results to provide insights and recommendations for performance enhancement, offering technical financial expertise to support strategic objectives.

Job Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelor of Accountancy or equivalent qualification recognized by the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants / ACCA or equivalent.

2. Experience: Minimum of 6 years' experience in audit and financial accounting within an MNC environment, preferably in a shared service center.

3. Knowledge: Thorough understanding of accounting principles, Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, tax regulations, and Companies Act requirements.

Preferred Skills: Previous exposure to SAP FI COPA modules, IT systems, and Power BI would be advantageous
