Responsibilities:


  • Position is a quotacarrying role with responsibility for working with customers and prospects for NCR hardware, software and services within the Retail Market.
  • Coordinate all technical sales activities for customers or partners in assigned territory or accounts.
  • Assist with or drive the development of technical account plans and sales proposals for assigned opportunities. Execute on established plans to prevent postsales issues that can impact time to revenue.
  • Build and maintain relationships with assigned account team members. When channelfacing, establish peerlevel relationship with partner sales engineers.
  • Lead discovery activities to understand customer or partner business requirements and translate them into technical requirements. Create, present and document moderately complex technical solutions.
  • Coordinate and deliver demos, trials, proofsofconcepts and postsales diagnostic support to customers. Alternatively, if channelfacing, create the appropriate infrastructure to support partner delivery of demos, trials, and proofsofconcepts.
  • Serve as an advocate for the customer or partner and maintain a high level of satisfaction. Ensure customers and partners participate in Customer Satisfaction activities.
  • Actively participate in knowledge transfer sessions for personal development and to help educate customers and partners with the latest technical, industry and product knowledge.
  • Actively maintain technical knowledge across multiple products and solutions while developing more indepth expertise in a specific area or solution specialization.
  • Acts in a professional manner with high ethical standards of performance and behavior at all times; Creates trust and confidence in himself / herself with the customer and NCR

Experience required:

  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Must be proactive, highly energized and able to adapt to changing technology environment at short notice.
  • Understanding of retail store automation industry and/or retail in store experience.
  • Comfortable working both in project teams and individually, on complex issues.
  • Demonstrates business acumen and awareness of customer and partner business priorities.
  • Can conduct research and use business knowledge to create customer or partner business and financial profiles to better position self and company. Able to develop consultative relationships with customers and partners to fully understand needs and identify opportunities.
  • Strong public speaking capability comfortable, confident, engaging and credible with large or small audiences.
  • Highly effective and persuasive written and verbal technical sales communication skills, including expertise in overcoming technical sales objections.
  • Prioritizes work and manages time effectively.
  • Can quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all with minimum of noise. Seen as cooperative and a team player who easily gains trust and support of peers. Encourages collaboration and can be candid with peers.
  • Is adept at conflict resolution, has the ability to listen authentically and understand all points of view.
  • Typically requires BS/BA (Engineering/Computer Science/Technology) or equivalent.
  • Experience in sales engineering or consulting preferred.
  • Experienced in presales selling enterprise grade solutions in retail industry is preferred.
  • Experienced with strong software skills is preferred.
  • Speak fluent English and Thai language.
