Responsibilities

Able to charter-in the most suitable ship in the market at the right timing for traders & refineries requirement.
Monitor the TC fleet and market the ship for relet opportunities when necessary to develop TC freight book PnL.
Capture and provide real time market updates and intelligence to traders for decision making, i.e., tender freight assessment; monitor the market trend closely with market calls to assist FFA freight book.
Assist in team projects like exploring new COAs, new TC and/or other business opportunities.
Work closely with traders to charter ships at reasonable freight to safeguard logistics cost.
Negotiate Charter Party terms and conditions to Company's standards.
Work closely with chartering & freight trading team to look for cargo to cover TC fleet's position as well as to assist freight trading's PnL.
Provide accurate and timely shipping information to trading teams to facilitate smooth trading activities.
Explore and maintain long term business relationship with owners, such as COA (Contract of Affreightment) and TC (Time Charter) chartering.
Provide advice on commercial matters affecting operations and demurrage risk exposure.
Update, maintain and provide reports and statistical data to other business units i.e. Finance, HQ and management.
Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline
5-8 years of relevant experience
Have a strong market analysis and chartering capability.
Have a good track record & network in the industry.
Able to work independently to cover certain portfolio, as well as rotating and covering for other chartering colleagues to meet team KPI
Possess adequate proficiency in IT Skill and a good team player
