Summary

As an IT Program Manager you will develop, implement and/or oversee multi-year IT initiatives.

Location of position:

GSA's Office of GSA IT, Financial Management IT Services Branch (IDCDA). This is a Virtual/Remote position and the duty location will be determined upon selection.

We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Additional vacancies may be filled through this announcement in this or other GSA organizations within the same commuting area.

Duties

This position is located within the Office of GSA IT, Financial Management (FM) & Office of Government-wide Policy (OGP) IT Services Division (IDCD). The Financial Management (FM) & OGP IT Services Division (ICT) manages and supports a wide range of financial management applications and provides the oversight and management of the OGP IT Systems. This division specializes in operations and maintenance; development, modernization and enhancements; process realignment/automation/improvement; and systems migrations and transformations.

As an IT Program Manager you will perform the following duties:

Managing or overseeing a variety of duties related to the implementation of long-term IT projects.

Identifying customer needs and requirements.

Ensuring appropriate product-related training and documentation are developed and made available to customers.

Ensuring multi-phase, long-term projects are coordinated and integrated to meet organizational needs.

Using management skills and abilities in the areas of business process reengineering; capital planning and investment analysis; cost-benefit analysis; various contracting and procurement methods and techniques; financial and risk management; quality assurance; and requirements analysis.

Supporting the work of the planning, analysis, design, development and testing of IT systems.

Providing quality assurance and testing artifacts.

Supporting system integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information throughout an agency or organization.

Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, policies, standards, and procedures.

Providing recommendations and advice to senior management officials on IT solutions critical to organizational functions.

Identifying standards and requirements for infrastructure configuration or enterprise architecture change management.

Designing and implementing information system security plans and procedures.

Supporting the work of contracting officers and acquisitions staff, directing the work of project team members and contracted employees, ensuring quality and technical requirements are met.
