    Trading Application Support - Options

    Trading Applications Support is the first call for the firm's trading teams regarding their trading needs and trade processing. A candidate in this role interfaces with APAC trading groups, Technology teams, Vendors, Operations, and Prime Brokers. We are looking for a L 1/L2 Trading Applications Support Analyst to join our team in Singapore, providing trade support to all APAC trading groups on the firm's proprietary and external trading applications.

    You will be responsible for resolving client and application issues stemming from use of our trading platforms to executing trades across global markets. The work will be focused to business support, options trading production support, trade issue resolution, project work, trade analysis, client set ups, systems training and application performance monitoring. You will be part of a global support team playing your part to ensure a follow the sun model provides our client base with excellent service.

    Principal Responsibilities

    Trade Support:

  • First call for all APAC based trading groups. Attempt to solve as many issues as possible, escalate issues in a timely manner to level2/subject matter experts (internally or at vendors) when appropriate. Manage communications to the trading staff and internal stakeholders regarding issue/resolution.
  • responsible for disseminating messages to the appropriate trading staff regarding trading infrastructure/platform issues, exchange updates, etc.
  • Supporting and monitoring of the firm's internal systems
  • Incident & Change management
  • Collaborate with other technical support engineers who may need assistance working on an issue; utilize his/her area of expertise to help others in order to most quickly facilitate solutions for the customer.
  • Document and create new knowledge base to provide the most effective solutions to trading issues
  • – assist with automating processes to achieve efficiency and streamlined trade support
  • Liaise with development, prioritize tool enhancements, and coordinate and participate in software/new version releases
  • Trading Platform Management:

  • coordinate with the vendors/internal application owner and tech support to ensure trading platforms are correctly installed, configured, and tested
  • responsible for the setup of new user ids, configuring accounts, product permissions, coordinate with risk for trading limits, coordinate test trades
  • for internal trading applications and coordinate training with vendors for external applications
  • ensure all configurations are correct for traders moving from one platform to another, or changing clearing locations
  • Perform regular reviews/audits of user ids, access, and permissioning to ensure only necessary ids and technology are deployed for tradin
  • Exposure to options trading platforms such as WEX, Spider Rock, and Tethys or broker platforms such as MS Passport a plus
  • Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Good understanding of the Option Venues and micro-structure
  • Good understanding of the different types of options products (single leg, Complex Orders, Flex Options)
  • Previous experience supporting an option trading application
  • Understanding of Options Pricing and Analytics a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in a Trade Support / Business Analyst role with similar responsibilities as part of a trade support team at a top Investment Bank, Hedge Fund or other leading Financial Services institution
  • Experience in supporting trading in as many of the following products as possible: Equities, Commodities, Futures, Bonds, FX, Options
  • Familiarity with middle and back office systems, risk management tools, and with Bloomberg or Reuters market data services is a strong plus
  • Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment; Good sense of urgency – problem management and escalation
  • Strong technical problem solving skills with a good understanding of Unix / Windows environments and intermediate SQL skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented, Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work
  • Quick learner with a demonstrated strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them
