    Corporate Counsel

    What a typical day entails:

    • Provide guidance on dispute resolution matters such as professional negligence, commercial disputes, IP, contractual disputes, and mediations.
    • Structure, negotiate, and draft contracts for commercial agreements within Aon's businesses.
    • Act as a strategic partner to business teams for developing new services, expanding client engagements, and addressing legal and regulatory changes.
    • Interpret and advise on various regulatory regimes alongside the Compliance team.
    • Collaborate with law department colleagues and business leaders on critical initiatives and risk management.
    • Develop internal policies, offer legal training, and advise on risk management strategies.
    • Work closely with a global team of legal professionals on transactional, corporate, employment, regulatory, and litigation matters.
    • Support Aon group and Legal Department's strategic initiatives and projects.

    How this role stands out:

    As a member of the Aon Asia Legal team supporting all Solution Line capabilities, you will play a key role in identifying and managing legal risks across Aon's businesses in a pragmatic and business-oriented manner.

    While collaborating with the Asia Legal team, this position will focus on supporting Reinsurance Solutions, Risk Capital businesses, and the disputes resolution team. Your active contribution to the Asia Legal team's initiatives, pro-bono activities, and participation in diversity and inclusion efforts will be highly valued, positioning you as a strategic advisor and partner to Aon's businesses.

    Skills and experience essential for success:

    • Qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction with at least 3 years of legal experience.
    • Background in insurance, reinsurance, or related financial services industries, including regulatory knowledge.
    • Experience in negotiating and drafting contracts for complex commercial arrangements.
    • Practical experience in dispute resolution, including insurance litigation and professional negligence claims.
    • Ability to balance corporate risk with commercial awareness.
    • Strong drafting, negotiation, and detail-oriented skills.
    • Expertise in providing user-friendly legal advice and business-facing coaching.
    • Integrity, professionalism, and experience in regulated environments.
    • Ability to develop strategic partnerships and collaborations with clients.
