- Lead and manage a portfolio of accounting and payroll clients and ability to achieve client satisfaction and retention.
- Plan the work and provide effective leadership, supervision and guidance to staff to ensure deliverables are timely according to scope of services.
- Provides consultancy advice to clients on various accounting and tax matters.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand the tax impact of business operations and ensure that tax needs are identified, considered, and communicated.
- Assisting clients with dispute resolutions and enquiries from the tax authority.
- Manage and oversee all GST compliance and advisory services to clients.
- Fostering strong relationships with our clients and taking a pro-active role in ensuring that our clients are up to date with the market's changes and trends.
- Responsible for reviewing the work of the Accounting/Tax team.
- Review income tax returns and GST quarterly filings.
- Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks and in related financial reporting matters.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives and utilize that knowledge on engagement.
- Managing client relationships and maintaining good rapport with clients.
- For assigned clients - maintaining full sets of books including preparing payments, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, raising journals and preparing financial reports in Xero Accounting System.
- Prepares Unaudited/Group Unaudited Financial Statements for clients.
- Oversee payroll support for clients and monthly CPF submissions.
- Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
- Recognized degree in Accountancy and/or equivalent professional qualification.
- CPA, ACCA or CA preferred.
- Accredited Tax qualification will be an added advantage but not necessary.
- Strong Corporate Tax Experience.
- Good knowledge and understanding of Singapore compliance requirements on accounting, tax, payroll, Companies Act, Accounting and Payroll Software is a definite advantage.
- Ideally between 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, preferably from a professional services firm in Tax/Assurance/Accounting/Outsourcing/Client Accounting environment.
- Ability to prepare Group accounts preferred.
- Computer savvy with proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive in problem-solving and client management.
- Meticulous and detailed.
- Experience with cloud accounting software, Xero will be preferred.
- Proficiency in XBRL is a plus.
