Roles & Responsibilities

ArcadeXR is an arcade experience company that connects people with games. We're building an arcade experience ecosystem that consists of physical arcade games, consumer and location-based VR games and experiences, and other exciting arcade-based titles that connect, engage, and delight players across physical and virtual worlds.

We have launched our consumer VR title, Arcade Legend on Quest, and an innovative new digital arcade concept Arcade.Online | Play Real Arcade Games Online .

A creative space with software, art, electronics, and mechanical devices all being developed side-by-side, our studio is a hive of activity that rewards curiosity and appeals to the inventive.

Responsibilities

Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers, UX designers, and engineers.
Hands-on development and delivery of effective and delightful user interfaces.
Use analytics to assess the impact of all UI design and usability changes.
Assist with user research, interviews, surveys and usability studies, translating findings into wireframes and prototypes.
Develop standard UI components, graphics, and style guides for company-wide use.
Effectively communicate and specify your designs to developers and other key stakeholders.
Support product, marketing, and business needs.
Conduct industry research and stay up-to-date on best practices, competitor UI designs and emerging technologies.
Support the QA team to make sure features are implemented as intended.

Skills

Solid art foundation, keen sense of colour, strong drawing skills.
Ability to develop innovative design solutions to complex user interaction problems.
Strong presentation skills.
Ability to lead and direct design thinking for digital gameplay interactions.
Expert knowledge of UI design principles and techniques, responsive design, and mobile UI.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to perform in a fast-paced design environment under minimal supervision.
Expertise with design tools such as Photoshop and Figma

Qualifications

5+ years in conceptualizing and creating user interface designs for responsive web, iOS, and Android. Experienced in game UI design an added advantage.
Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Multimedia Design, Game Design, or UX/UI Design related field
