    Roles & Responsibilities

    PURPOSE AND SCOPE

    The Renewable Energy Trainer role aims to advance knowledge and skills in the renewable energy sector by creating and delivering training programs. The purpose is to empower individuals for career growth, foster innovation, raise awareness, and contribute to building a skilled workforce that positively impacts the sustainable energy landscape.

    KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Design, develop, and update training programs focused on renewable energy technologies, industry standards, and best practices.
    • Conduct engaging and effective training sessions, workshops, and seminars for diverse audiences, ensuring participants grasp key concepts in renewable energy.
    • Tailor training materials to meet specific client needs, incorporating real-world examples and case studies relevant to the renewable energy sector.
    • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in renewable energy to provide accurate and up-to-date training content.
    • Organize and lead practical demonstrations, site visits, or hands-on activities to reinforce theoretical knowledge and enhance practical skills.
    • Develop assessment tools to evaluate participants' understanding and competency in renewable energy concepts, conducting evaluations and providing constructive feedback.
    • Establish training plan and to ensure trainers have consistent standards in delivering course modules efficiently.
    • Collaborate with clients, industry experts, and internal cross-functional teams to identify training needs, align content with industry requirements, and ensure training effectiveness.
    • Prepare comprehensive training materials, documentation, and reports to support learning objectives and track participant progress.
    • Continuously assess and enhance training programs based on feedback, industry developments, and emerging technologies within the renewable energy sector.
    • Design and implement certification programs to validate participants' proficiency in renewable energy technologies.
    • Submit course proposal and the necessary information in TPGateway in accordance to Skills Future Singapore Standards and have the ability to response to auditors

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, or related field.
    • Possess a Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) or Diploma in Design and Development of Learning for Performance (DDDLP)
    • Proven experience in renewable energy training or a similar educational role.
    • In-depth knowledge of various renewable energy technologies, including solar, wind, and energy storage.

    SKILLS/COMPETENCIES & PREFERRED CHARACTERISTICS

    • Good knowledge of skills frameworks, with preferred experience in WSQ/Skills Framework courseware development and accreditation.
    • Strong presentation and communication skills.
    • Confident and has ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt training methods to different learning styles.
    • Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
    • Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
    • Passion for sustainability and promoting awareness of renewable energy practices.
    • Relevant certifications in renewable energy or training and development are a plus.
    • Proven track record in development of WSQ curriculum and courseware
    • Good understanding of the WSQ and Skills Framework and use of TPGateway
