I am Clara, an individual who is passionate about people. 

I have close to 6 years of working experience in Human Resource and Corporate Communications, where I had the opportunity to business partner with various departments, ranging from corporate to operational functions. My role includes overseeing the department's end-to-end recruitment cycles, employee engagement, handling employee grievances, organisational development and even planning and developing social media plans to raise employer brand awareness. 

Outside of my 9 to 6, I enjoy recharging myself by spending time with my family or have a hearty meal catching up with friends. I also enjoy picking up new hobbies, with the most recent one being crocheting. If allowed, I also enjoy visiting various countries and learning more about their cultures.

In the last 5 years, I have business partnered various departments such as Finance, Marine IT, Procurement and the Mission Command Centre. At present, I am a HR Business Partner (HRBP) to the Pilotage Services Department and PSA Marine Bangladesh Shipping (a subsidiary in Bangladesh). As a HRBP, I: 
-  Support employees’ lifecycle from Onboarding to Offboarding which includes, but not limited to, Sourcing and screening of candidates, Salary Approval, Letter of Offer, Onboarding, Performance Management, Disciplinary, Exit Interviews);
- Develop, plan and execute Learning and Development as well as Organisational Culture initiatives and workshops for both internal and external audiences;
- Develop, plan and execute Long Service Award Ceremonies and Health and Wellness initiatives;
- Advise and assist department managers on managing People Management matters, such as Employee welfare and retention;
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders such as section managers, department HoDs and Recruitment Agencies;
- Lead and oversee automating HR Processes from initial stages of gathering user requirements to working closely with RPA developer, conduct testing and guide Process Owner on the updated process;
- Participate in Career Fairs, such as e2i, SAF, Institute of Higher Learning schools 
- Participate in Union Meetings and dabbled in writing Union Minutes; and
- Participate in setting up Appraisal Framework and Incentive Criteria for Operational officers performing shift duties.  

In my Corporate Communications function, I:
- Assume role of a Social Media Lead (2019 to 2022);
- Manage Social Media Channels (Facebook and LinkedIn);
- Develop, plan and execute Social Media content (Series or events);
- Run through content creators’ posts and advise changes where necessary;
- Produce and update Social Media Management Guide on Do’s and Don’t’s for content creators to ensure consistent messaging and corporate image;
- Schedule and update common social media calendar with all content creators posts; and
- Design posters or templates for series and come up with hashtags to garner views.
