Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Accounting

Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
Maintaining proper recording of document transactions
Maintain and reconcile intercompany transactions

Finance Operation

Oversee the daily operations of the Finance department
Provide operational support on payments, receipts, journals and report preparation
Perform self-assessment to ensure all internal controls and regulations relating to finance are adhered to
Manage bank relationships
Ad-hoc tasks in assisting other members of the finance team

Pupil Forecast

Responsible for analysing and generating the bi-weekly and monthly pupil forecast, working closely with admissions department and submitting reports to Management
Attend to queries and provide required information to the Regional office
Reconcile pupil numbers to data held by the admissions department and the billing system

Business Planning & Commercial Finance

Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly management reporting and forecasting
Responsible for facilitating, Collating, updating and analysing the annual budget
Month end Closing task, Collating information from the various departments, analysing and updating actual and forecast data suing the Groups' reporting portal
Responsible for preparing the monthly pupil forecast reconciliation between the various sources
Responsible for analysing the actual capital expenditure, updating the forecast and analysing variances
Attend to queries from the Regional Office on management reporting and related matters
Preparation of the annual budget and supporting documents for presentation and uploading into the Groups reporting portal

Finance Closing, Projects & Compliances

Manage month/year end close process
Manage statutory audits and regulatory compliances
Preparation and review of regular/ad-hoc reports to regulators, management, regional office, and auditors
Support new business initiatives, system implementation/enhancement
Overseeing project budget relating to cashflow, capital spend and financial reporting

Procurement

Manage the smooth procurement processing in accordance with the policies

Insurances

Manage all insurances for the school other than those managed by HR

Taxation

Prepare corporate tax
Manage GST
Manage Withholding tax

Head of School & Finance Director Support

Provides administrative and secretarial support to the Head of School and Finance Director as required

Requirements:

Minimum of 7-9 years finance accounting
Degree level qualification in accounting or related field
FP&A and audit experience essential
Possess professional attitude and appearance
Experience in handling full set accounting
Knowledge of IFRS and current reporting requirements
Experience in management reporting and drive in the financial operational excellence
Experience in tax computations and current tax legislation
Technology savvy, able to work with systems and able to manage large amounts of data
Self-driven with good organizational and time management skills to deal with multiple deliverables and tight timelines
Excellent multi-stakeholder management skills
Ability to operate in a multi-cultural and cross-functional environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & NetSuite Oracle
Advanced MS Excel skills
