    Roles & Responsibilities
    • Company: Ship Management/ Owner (Japanese Organization)
    • Location: Tanjong Pagar (Near MRT Station)
    • Position: Commercial/ Asset Management Assistant Manager/ Manager (LNG) (Job ID: 19041)

    Job Description:

    • Support Deputy General Manager in managing a fleet of LNG carriers.
    • Ensure effective communication & co-ordination with charterers, ship-managers, and relevant internal teams.
    • Ensure safe and reliable transportation of LNG and maximize Owner profits.

    Job Scope:

    • Being the owners' representative for a fleet of Tanker/LNG carriers and administer project budges with the ship managers
    • Undertake marine/operational analysis
    • Ensure compliance in Time charterparties and shipbuilding contract, Ship-management agreement and Insurance Policies (H&M, Loss of Hire, War and P&I)
    • Liaise with charterers and address any potential off-hire events until reconciliation if any
    • Review and address any performance claims under the time charterparties
    • Keep all stakeholders fully updated on progress of any disputes
    • Review expenditure requests over approved budget
    • Prepare quarterly / year end OPEX reports with variance analysis for internal review
    • Review annual OPEX and dry dock budgets, seeking necessary approvals
    • Ensure effective communications with all stakeholders including Charterers, Ship Manager, Finance & Accounting Team and P&I Club
    • Report to the Deputy General Manager (Asset Management), Director and Japan HQ
    • Prepare other necessary documents when required

    Job Requirements:

    • Degree in maritime and/ or business
    • A good working knowledge of tanker shipping commercial operations.
    • Familiarity with tanker time charter/ shipbuilding contractual terms and associated commercial agreements.
    • Ability to read basic financial statements.
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Well organized and able to manage multiple tasks //projects by oneself.
    • Numerically astute and comfortable reporting large numbers to management (USD$ millions)
    • Capable to report complex commercial matters in a few salient points and provide resolution(s) to management.
    • Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
