- Draft, review and negotiate contracts to support the business
- Provide legal advice to business units to facilitate risk assessment and decision making
- Manage claims, disputes, and legal proceedings
- Develop training materials and provide legal training to the business units
- Supervise the company secretary and manage the company secretarial function to ensure compliance, including supporting group restructuring with the assistance of external counsel
- Implement group policies and processes of the legal function in Asia and effectively communicate with relevant stakeholders to the extent any deviation is required
- Monitor legal developments in the countries with operation to ensure compliance with local legal requirements
- Provide general assistance to other teams on legal-related topics and manage other ad hoc legal matters
- A lawyer who is qualified in Hong Kong or Singapore with at least 5 years' post-qualification experiences gained in law firms or as in-house counsel
- Familiar with the Hong Kong or Singapore legal and regulatory framework
- In-house experience, ideally with MNCs, would be an advantage
- Business acumen with good communication skills
- Strong drafting skills in English
- Chinese language skill would be an advantage (and not prerequisite) to liaise with Chinese-speaking only stakeholders
